What to Bring Prerequisites Resources Registration


Learn how to operate and care for motor boats in this Saturday only class. This is an excellent merit badge for Scouts who have earned the First Class rank.

Class size:  8

What to Bring:

    • Swimming attire and towel
    • Shoes that can get wet
    • Jacket or sweatshirt, depending on the weather
    • Signed merit badge application (blue card)
    • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sun block)
    • Lunch & water bottle
    • Current medical form

Prerequisites:

    • Scouts are required to pass the standard BSA swim test for swimmer the morning of the class in order to participate.
    • Make sure to bring a Merit Badge blue card signed by your Unit leader and your Merit Badge book.
    • Make sure to read and study the right-of-way rules before arriving at camp.
    • Age 13 and First Class strongly recommended.

The programs offered are for Troops, Crews, Ships, and Teams. Cub Scouts may not participate in our programs pursuant to the BSA's Age-Appropriate Guidelines For Scouting Activities.
